BECA

RUPERT HODSON

NORTHERN REGIONAL MANAGER

AUG 2019

Jo recently lead an important piece of work looking at how we design our work space (in Beca House) to make sure it meets the evolving needs of our people and clients and also plan for growth. We wanted to know if we are using our space in Beca House effectively and also how do we plan for growth. Jo lead an engagement focused approach (with key stakeholders and our people) focusing on our objectives and linking the development of the work place strategy to our values and purpose and business strategies. This was a key aspect of Jo's successful approach. Jo has delivered us a strategy that is fit for purpose and has given us a matrix of interventions and investment areas to help guide us into the future. I strongly recommend Jo if you looking at your own workplace needs.

BRETT NAIRN

PROJECT MANAGER - PROPERTY SERVICES

2018

Beca have provided an experienced team for this project led by Senior Architect Jo Monaghan. Their approach to the project has been comprehensive from the start, with a clear scope & methodology, timeline and fee structure outlined in their agreement submission. Jo is an experienced strategist and designer and highly skilled in dealing with the types of challenges that emerge in these kinds of environments. She has led the key stakeholder meetings to determine the needs of user groups and worked out the needed changes across the building from there. She has also played a key role in staff engagement strategy. These kinds of projects require a combination of firmness as well as flexibility and Jo has fielded the challenges thrown up by changing requirements during the design, as well as different users concerns and issues, with a very personable and professional approach. This has enabled us to progress the design effectively and efficiently, with a resulting generally positive feeling maintained throughout  the organisation.
